An inbox that sorts itself
Conversations now tag themselves so you can find what matters, search reaches every word, and a daily email keeps your team in the loop.
At a glance
Tags that do the sorting
Chatref reads each chat and labels it for you, so sales, support, and bugs land in their own neat piles.
Search every word
Look inside the whole conversation, not just the last line, and jump straight to the chat you remember.
A daily catch-up email
One tidy summary each day so nobody has to refresh the inbox to know what happened.
Read and unread, per person
Your unread count is yours. A teammate opening a chat no longer marks it read for everyone.
As more chats come in, the hard part stops being getting messages and starts being making sense of them. May was all about turning a busy inbox into one you can actually steer.
Conversations that label themselves
The headline feature is automatic tags. Chatref reads each conversation and labels it for you – a sales question, a support issue, a bug report, a refund. You can add your own tags too, and fix any label by hand whenever you like.
Once chats carry tags, your inbox becomes filterable. Want to see only the sales leads from this week? One click. Need to round up every bug a customer mentioned? One click. There is a tidy management screen where you set up the tags that matter to your business, with a gallery of suggestions to get you going.
Find the chat you half-remember
Search now looks inside the whole conversation, not just the last message. So if you remember a customer mentioning a delivery date three replies in, you can find it. Matches are highlighted so your eye goes straight to the part you wanted.
A calmer way to keep up
Not everyone wants to live in the inbox. So we added a daily digest email – a clean, once-a-day summary of what came in and what needs a look. It is a gentle way for owners and teammates to stay in the loop without refreshing a tab all day.
We also fixed something small but important for teams: read and unread state is now yours alone. When a teammate opens a chat, it no longer marks that chat as read for everyone else. Your unread badge finally tells the truth.
Polish you can feel
- The inbox got a cleaner, steadier layout
- The conversation list stopped flickering and re-jumping when you click
- Active chats stay near the top where you expect them
- Titles now come from the first thing the customer said, so the list reads naturally
None of these are flashy on their own. Together, they make the inbox feel quiet, fast, and trustworthy – which is exactly what you want from the place you spend your day.
